Dawn Caulder

Hometown: Chesapeake, Virginia
Education: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with an emphasis on Math, UNCW.  Masters of Arts in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, UOP
Why are you teaching?: Mrs. Caulder has been teaching for 18 years in a variety of school communities, even Guam!  She believes learning is a life-long process and wants her students to desire to learn.  The opportunity to teach and inspire students within a learning environment is a  true, daily reward.  She could not imagine doing anything else.  
Why St. Pius X?: Mrs. Caulder enjoys the educational program and school community at St. Pius.  She believes the school's nurturing environment is conducive to higher-order thinking.  This stimulating environment encourages students to trust their opinions, while fostering confidence to realize their potential as a successful student.
What do you do in your spare time?: In her spare time, Mrs. Caulder loves to travel to different countries and go scuba diving.
